Future Fuels CRC Bid Successful
Assistant Minister for Science, Jobs and Innovation Senator the Hon Zed Seselja has announced that the Federal Government’s Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) program will be co-funding Future Fuels CRC with $26.25m over its proposed seven year research program. Overall, the cash and in-kind commitment of the CRC is in excess of $90 million
This success is a continuation of the energy industry's commitment to research aimed at transitioning the traditional industry to a low carbon environment.
Energy Pipelines CRC Chairman Charles Rottier thanked the Australian pipeline industry and the broader Australian energy community for their ongoing vision, commitment to and investment in the research necessary to undertake this significant transition. This has only been achieved through the cooperation of over 60 parties working towards a common goal.
The work of the new Future Fuels CRC and existing Energy Pipelines CRC has inevitable overlaps during the start-up phases of Future Fuels, however detailed planning work has been done to ensure that the Energy Pipelines CRC completes its objectives and obligations over the coming 18 months at the same high level as has been displayed since its inception.
